I am a consultant ophthalmologist, vitreoretinal and cataract surgeon and medical retina specialist at Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI) and Newmedica Eye Hospital – Leeds.

I have received comprehensive general ophthalmic surgical post graduate training from North of Scotland where I was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth) and received Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) from General Medical Council. I then moved to Canada to receive extensive sub-specialised fellowship training in dual fields of medical and surgical retina at University of Toronto, which has the largest and busiest retina department in all of North America. After successfully completing fellowship, I returned in 2019 and joined as a consultant at BRI.

My expertise is in the management of retinal conditions like diabetic eye disease, retinal detachments, retinal vein occlusions and macular diseases e.g. agerelated macular degeneration (AMD), macular holes and epiretinal membranes.

Outside work, I like spending time with my young family and enjoy country walks.
