At Newmedica, our values shine not only within our clinics and Support Office, but also out in the wider community. That’s why we actively encourage our colleagues to engage with charitable causes that matter to them, whether it’s locally, nationally, or even internationally.
Last Christmas, our Lincolnshire clinic delivered gifts to patients in a local hospice, bringing joy during the festive season. In 2024, the Worcester team surpassed their annual £5,000 fundraising target, supporting charities such as Sensory Matters and Guide Dogs UK. Over in Bristol, the team took part in a 10K in May 2025, raising over £800 for Mind Bristol. And on one of the hottest days of the year, our Hampshire clinic braved the ‘Pretty Muddy’ challenge to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
Within Support Office, colleagues are welcome to take one corporate volunteer day each year. In May 2025, members of our People Team spent theirs at the RSPCA Radcliffe Animal Centre in Nottingham. The team spent the day mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and spending time with the animals.
On an international level, in 2023, the Shrewsbury team proudly supported Footprints Africa, a charity helping communities in South Africa. Several team members even travelled to Lehae, just outside Johannesburg, where they carried out sight tests for people living in poverty, working to bring vital care to those who need it most.
These are just a few of the many ways our teams go above and beyond to support their communities. This doesn’t just benefit the causes, but it’s good for our colleagues too. Taking part in these initiatives helps our teams feel motivated and proud of the difference they’re making.
