After completing my medical degree in Mumbai, India, I pursued my ophthalmic training in the UK.

I worked at Sunderland Eye Infirmary, following which I have been a registrar at Royal Victoria Hospital, Newcastle. I completed my registrar training at Royal Liverpool Hospital.

As a fellow at Bristol Eye Infirmary, I gained further experience in medical retina and uveitis. I’ve been a consultant at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS since August 2009, where I am the lead consultant for medical retina and uveitis.

I’m also a member of the of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, a trainer for microsurgical courses and a college tutor.

My areas of interest include age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and other retinal vasculopathies, inflammatory eye diseases, lens surgery, cataract surgery, clear lens surgery and refractive lens surgery.
