Newmedica Slough celebrates its first birthday

We’re excited to be celebrating one year of delivering eye care services in Slough at Newmedica.

Over the past 12 months, we’ve welcomed thousands of patients through our doors and are incredibly proud of the impact we’ve made in the local community. Since opening, we’ve completed 4,157 patient appointments, including 1,308 cataract operations – all delivered within a waiting time of less than four weeks from referral.

We’ve also had the privilege of supporting the next generation of eye care professionals, with six pre-reg optometrists, one independent prescriber, and one doctor in training gaining valuable experience with us.

Our commitment to high-quality care is reflected in the outstanding feedback we’ve received, with 100% of patients rating their care as good or very good, and 98.7% saying they would recommend us to friends and family.
