Manchester artist travels Europe on motorbike after cataract surgery restores sight

This December, Newmedica is supporting Sight Research UK’s ‘Seeing is Believing’ Christmas campaign.  

More than 2 million people have been diagnosed with sight loss in the UK. In the next decade, studies suggest that this figure will increase by 27%. That’s a population the size of Greater Manchester who will be living with visual impairment by 2035. 

Sight Research UK’s charity funds pioneering research into the causes of eye disease, to develop preventative methods and more effective treatments. For the past four decades, they’ve been working to ensure a clearer future for those living with sight loss. 

After the success of last year's campaign, we’re once again pledging to match donations made from 1^st-31^st December up to a total of £10,000, so until the 31st of December, your Christmas donations will have double the impact.
