About

Mr Muhammed Jawad is a highly experienced consultant ophthalmologist with specialist expertise in oculoplastic and cataract surgery. He completed his medical degree at St George’s, University of London, and also holds a Bachelor of Science from Imperial College London.

Mr Jawad has a broad range of clinical interests, including cataract surgery and YAG laser capsulotomy, as well as the treatment of a wide variety of oculoplastic conditions. These include lid and brow ptosis, ectropion, entropion, eyelid and conjunctival cancers, dermatochalasis (blepharoplasty), trichiasis, chalazion, benign eyelid lumps, watery and dry eyes, blocked tear ducts, orbital disease, and thyroid eye disease.

He is a member of the British Oculoplastic Surgical Society and plays an active role in multidisciplinary care. Mr Jawad regularly collaborates with neurosurgeons, ENT, and maxillofacial surgeons on complex reconstructive procedures. He is also part of the ocular oncology service at Liverpool, one of the few centres in the UK offering this specialist care, and contributes to regional MDTs for skull base, head and neck, and skin cancer.

Mr Jawad is passionate about delivering patient-centred care. He believes in listening carefully, explaining clearly, and involving patients in every step of their treatment journey. His approach combines evidence-based medicine with a compassionate, non-judgemental ethos.
