I am a consultant ophthalmic surgeon specialising in cataract surgery and retinal diseases. I trained in centres of excellence in the UK and around the world honing a wide repertoire of medical and surgical skills.
I was admitted as Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 2012 and hold the equivalent specialist title from Spain, gained at the University Clinic Hospital of Barcelona. I then undertook two years of highly specialised retina surgery training at the Bristol Eye Hospital and the Sydney Eye Hospital, Australia.
I am a patient safety and care quality officer holding roles dedicated to the improvement and maintenance of quality of care.
