I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from The University of Leeds. I then pursued my general ophthalmology training at the West Midlands School of Ophthalmology and obtained advanced subspecialty training in Vitreoretinal Surgery at Birmingham Midlands Eye Centre, one of the largest facilities of its kind in Europe, and subsequently became a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

My research portfolio is a curated compilation of my academic journey, showcasing my commitment to advancing knowledge in proliferative vitreoretinopathy. Through years of dedicated research, collaboration, and innovation, my portfolio captures the essence of my intellectual curiosity and contributions to the field.

Whether collaborating with peers, mentoring students, or presenting at regional, national, and international conferences, my research portfolio encapsulates the diverse facets of my research journey. 

I have won several prestigious awards from the "Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology", "UCL Institute of Ophthalmology" and the "University of Leeds"

My work specialisms include;

  • Cataract extraction surgery

  • Complex cataract surgery

  • Age-related macular degeneration treatment;

  • Intravitreal injections and Laser eye treatment for macular degeneration; retinal vein occlusions; Diabetic retinopathy/maculopathy

  • Laser capsulotomy after cataract surgery

  • Surgery for Retinal detachment; Floaters; Vitreomacular traction; Macular holes; Epiretinal membranes; Vitreous haemorrhage and Diabetic retinopathy.
