I am a fully UK trained substantive ophthalmology consultant with advanced subspecialist training in vitreoretinal surgery and medical retina.

After completing ophthalmology training in the Midlands, I was awarded entry as a fellow to the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth). Subsequently I completed two specialist vitreoretinal fellowships at university teaching centres. This honed my skills for complex cataract, emergency retinal and elective macular surgery.

As an appointed member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists examining board, I am engaged in training the ophthalmologists of the future. I also have a great passion for teaching and was awarded an honorary lectureship by De Montfort University, Leicester.

I aspire to provide the best possible care for my patients by providing them with the most advanced surgical techniques and giving them access to information to make informed choices.
