My specialist interests are retinal diseases, cataract surgery, medical education and bioengineering.
I work in partnership with my patients and treat them as individuals, sharing with them the information they need to make decisions about their care.
My constant aim is to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and at the same time to adopt a human approach to different needs. I treat patients as individuals and respect their dignity and privacy.
I regularly attend national and international conferences, keeping myself abreast of the latest developments in this field of ophthalmology. Moreover, teaching and leadership courses provide knowledge necessary for my role as a consultant. I take part in regular reviews and audits of my work and that of my team, taking steps to address any problems and carrying out further auditing where necessary. I regularly reflect on my standards of practice and the care I provide.
