The Newmedica Darlington eye health outpatient clinic operates from Park Place Health Centre, Park Place, Darlington and provides pre-assessment appointments for NHS patients with treatment taking place at our surgical centre in Middleborough. The clinic is led by consultant ophthalmologists Qasim Mansoor and Philip Severn, alongside operations director, Annette Johnson.
The partners and consultants also operate the Newmedica Middlesbrough eye health clinic and surgical centre, delivering treatments for age-related macular degeneration, cataract surgery, oculoplastic, glaucoma, medical retina clinics and YAG laser treatment.
We cater for eye services across the region, including Darlington, Barnard Castle, Richmond, Catterick, Newton Aycliffe, Bishop Auckland, Spennymoor and the surrounding area.
We provide ophthalmology services with personalised care, quality lenses, and short wait times.

By car
From the A1M northbound exiting onto the A167 on A68 continue until you reach Northgate roundabout. Exit onto the A617 St Cuthbert’s Way and when you reach Freeman’s place roundabout continue straight o the A167, take the first slip road onto the B6280 and then turn right on to Park Place. Newmedica is located inside Park Place Health Centre on the left.
From A66M continue straight at Blackwell Roundabout onto A66 Bridge Road, at the second roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A167 Grange road, continue on the A617 for the following two roundabouts and turn right on to the B6280 then turn right onto Park place and Newmedica is located inside Park Place Health Centre on the left.

The nearest bus stop is Hippodrome on Yarm road with buses 2, 2A, 3A, 12, 13A and 13B stopping here.
By train
Darlington station is a 5 minute walk or 2 minute taxi ride to the clinic.
